The Power of AI: An introduction with Martina Batovic
Thursday 23rd October
7pm
At The Chapel, BrutonBA10 0AE
Tickets £15
We are living in a time where creativity and technology are merging like never before. Artificial Intelligence is no longer just a tool for data scientists, it is becoming a powerful collaborator for artists, writers, designers, musicians, filmmakers, and creators of all kinds.
In this session, we will explore how AI is reshaping the creative process, unlocking new possibilities, and helping creatives push the boundaries of what is possible. Whether you are curious, cautious, or already experimenting, this workshop will give you insights, practical tools, and real-world examples of how AI can enhance, not replace, human imagination.
Martina Batovic has over 20 years of executive experience in the commercial art world, having led international teams in galleries, auction houses, art advisory, and digital platforms, and placing artworks with private clients globally. Her career evolved to a focus on education and consultancy, including leading the MA in Art Business programme to open up access to the arts. A role with a major global digital arts player sparked her interest in data strategy and AI adoption, inspiring a full pivot into tech. Now a Certified Salesforce Administrator with AdviceUK, Martina draws on her deep industry and digital knowledge to enhance user experience in digital adoption and deliver effective productivity solutions. Martina is a long-standing member of AWITA and supporter of the arts.

Please join Odette at Moorwood Art for their annual exhibition and drinks and to learn more about the works on exhibition and Art-Life.
Moorwood Art was founded in 2010 by Camilla Drinkall, inspired by her love of curating group exhibitions—an interest sparked while organising annual shows at Hazlegrove school. With a background in photography and her time at Wimbledon Art School, Camilla spent 12 years working with designers, magazines, and ad agencies, developing a knack for discovering exciting new work. She now hosts exhibitions at her Somerset home. Each exhibition supports a charity or not for profit, this year she is supporting Art-Life.
Art-Life was founded in Sherborne in December 2022 by Anna Timmis, inspired by the positive impact that art had on her sister Sally’s mental health during her lifelong struggle with complex challenges. After seeing how much the Arts on Prescription programme in Gloucestershire helped her, Anna felt compelled to create a similar space in our community. Art-Life is a not-for-profit organisation that offers six-week art courses and ongoing drop-in sessions for adults facing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, and loneliness, as well as chronic health conditions like fibromyalgia and cancer.
